Currently there are the groups : Home work, GUI, Game Development, networking and Web development. It would be nice to have one for Science or Science and Math. "STEM" (Science, Technology , Engineering and Math).
Most of what I may post could possibly be under that group. The distribution "Pythonxy" is really geared towards the STEM grouping, you have DSP packages , also Machine learning packages , visualization, image processing (openCV). I think there is one for Deep Learning as well. What about when you want to talk to the outside world using USB or serial ports? where would that go?
