I would suggest PyCharm its what I use on Ubuntu 16.04.

PyCharm was my choice for several years. I switched about six months ago to VSCode because of issues with virtual environments using PyCharm. I now an sold on VSCode.
IDE's are quite personal, like buying a suit, you have to find one that fits your fancy.

You can check out atom.
atom io ide atom Feature I like. hold ctrl on line use arrow keys to take line up or down. ctrl shift d to dup line. ctrl d on highlighted text. Every time you click ctrl d. It find that text and highlights it too. where you can change all at the same time.
