Resurrecting an old thread as I found something I have found useful. Anyone with a Google account (GMail, Google Drive) can go to Colab and create Jupyter style notebooks that will save on their Google drive. Works fine on my old Chromebook, isn't too slow, can import libraries like Numpy, pandas, matplotlib, os. Your Chromebook will need to be online, but they are of limited use offline anyway.

Connects to GitHub too.
