Hello Pyton Community,
New user here and a complete newbie to Python. I understand this question is likely very advanced for a new beginner to this language and i am a little impaitent but hopefully I can get some help.
I am a Rhino/Grasshopper (v.6) user and would like to learn how to import a lot of names (500+) from any of the following - .txt .doc .xls or .csv file
The first goal is to:
1. import the names which are in upper and lower case (500+ names)
2. apply a system font to each line
3. control text height of each line
4. control the vertical spacing between each line - base line to base line
then,
5. output the result as curve geometry back into the Rhino/Grasshopper (v.6) environment
If I can get help to get to step 4, I think I can handle the rest inside grasshopper, however, if its possible, can the following be achieved inside python?
5.bouding box around each text line to determine the length of each line
6. move each line of text from the lower left corner point of each bounding box to another set of points created in rhino/grasshopper
this is too advanced for a new beginner to grasp (at least me) which is why I reaching out to the community for assistance.
any insight/advice/help will be greatly appreciated.
