Saving code

Hi!

I am keen to know if there is a code in python that saves your script automatically (as an ipynb file) after your program is finished running. I am to let the computer run for 2-3 hours, and aftwards I would
like to save program and shut down the computer. I have already found a code to shut down pc.

Doesn't a jupyter notebook autosave by default? Do you lose the data in a notebook if you shut down without saving?
