That's nice, however, there are people destroying wikipedia pages. One of my friend's classmates was once permanently banned for modifying a page so it would have the word 'lol' for hundreds of lines.
Wikipedia is a really useful source, like a dictionary with data, but it isn't 100% trustworthy and you should always check their sources - if the page doesn't have a source, that's really suspicious and you shouldn't trust it.

This fall, I gave them €10. Let them live long and prosper. They help me a little every single day.

No. Wikipedia is a forum where they make money by exploiting the work of us contributors, and they do not "give back" by offering any of us any rewards or services for our effort.

If they want money, they should support advertisements - there's literally no better place for a privacy-respectful non-intrusive targeted advertisement for something relevant than on a page about the topic (most of which are written by experts, many of whom could do with the support of being able to better market their awesomeness, directly to people who almost certainly need their help).

Everyone should STOP paying them, so they wake up and start being respectful to their contributors and users alike, by allowing relevant ads.

Yes, I have and will donate.
I read here that many articles are "influenced".
How much is "many", in percentages of the total number of pages?
I doubt that the common-fig page has been altered.
I use it all the time, but not to find out
which ideology is the best. Smile

This is so absurd! Why should they support advertisements? To please you? Advertisements are anything but «privacy respectful» or «non intrusive», they are the ubiquitous PLAGUE of internet. They are imposed on us defenseless users of internet services.

If they allow advertisements, I will stop using their site immediately.

A PLAGUE on society itself, I'd say.

I take 0% notice of any advertising: if I want or need some something, I'll go look for it; I do not want or need anyone else to tell me what I should want or need -- that's for "sheepeople" not people.

@Gribouillis / @rob101 - get adblock and smartyoutubebeta perhaps?

"Why should they support advertisements" you asked...

You know that I clearly and specifically mansplained that in my post, right? Three *times* in fact... once in every single one of the 3 paragraphs I wrote. Are you guys actual programmers?? How can you read the same explanation, phrased 3 different ways in a row, and still not get it?

"I take 0% notice of any advertising"... look around at your stuff. It was no accident that you knew each and every one of those things you bought existed, before you bought it...
