coding security and networks projects

i'm a penetration tester, networks mostly, and i'm trying to get some good python skills. i find it hard to find exercises, and project making instructions online. usually i find some youtube videos which explain things, or articles with some documentation, nothing more than that. if someone can point me to a resource with some exercises, or projects building instructions, that will be great. i found some on github, but not much. mostly looking for security and networks projects and exercises
