Best way to transfer files from mobile to desktop

Currenlty I'm developing an Android app which will have the capability to transfer files from mobile to desktop(Windows). I am wondering what to choose between Sockets and WebSockets. Although there are some tutorials about transfer files using sockets, I havent found any documentation about transfer files using Websockets.
