continue statement

why is there a continue statement in Python? isn't it equivalent to a goto?
Tradition is peer pressure from dead people

What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual. Two languages? Bilingual. One language? American.

there's a continue statement in 'C' as well.
It's not the same as goto, because it allows the loop to 'continue'

in both languages, continue jumps back to the top.
