A little help please?

Hi! I am kind of new to python and I don't really know where to start. I am trying to making a game where you are a butterfly and you have to fly through a course of hoops. At the end it will tell you how many hoops you got through. I thought this would be really cute but I am stuck at the beginning and really need some help  . Do you have any tips? Any help would be great!

My tips are to start very small, and add onto it. For example, 2d butterflies would be much easier than 3d, and your game will probably look a lot like flappy bird, or the game that that's based on, "helicopter" or "tunnel pilot", http://www.helicoptergame1.com/
