Please, prompt open data repositories

To improve model predictions, I sometimes add features from open sources. Unfortunately, now I have to googling to find them. For example, now I need information about the population of each state in the United States (separated by age- groups).

Maybe there's some kind of directory of trusted sources?

There are datasets available from the US Census Bureau, but they are gathered every 10 years.
Nevertheless, this might be a good starting place.

see:
Explanation of data: https://www.census.gov/data/tables/time-...etail.html
Datasets: https://www.census.gov/data/tables/time-..._673542126

You may find similar statistics on state databases.

One location where you might find these (or at lease starting points) from: https://www.data.gov

for example searching 'state population datasets' will find 158,154 datasets, you can drill down from there.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, the US Census Bureau is making estimates based on changes after 2010 year. So this is inaccurate information.

Why is accuracy so important? I took the vaccinated people for different states, and if I use the population based on the data of the US Census Bureau, then for about half of the states it turns out that there are fewer vaccinated people in the state as a whole than the vaccinated adults and seniors (i.e. the number of vaccinated 12+ is negative).
Obviously, either vaccination data are inaccurate, or the US Census Bureau is giving incorrect estimates of state populations.

if searching for specific numbers on vaccinations, perhaps the site below would be more appropriate,.
here: https://clinicaltrials.gov/

However, I fear the numbers for COVID-19 are flawed.
