Glad you're here casevh! Was afraid we were going to lose you with the move. I think some of your tutorials were migrated, feel free to re-post them with your name if you want and we can clean up the old post.

I got into Python 6-7 years ago or so as a teen; I wanted to learn how to program, and it was the first real language I tried that made sense to me. I encountered this forum as I was searching for forum software written in Python, and really felt at home in the community. I stayed pretty active until the first migration, around which time I think I started spending more time on StackOverflow instead. Fast forward to today, and I'm doing professional Python web development full-time. I don't really feel like an old-timer here, remembering all the old-timers from the first forum, but I guess these days I count. I tried to get back into StackOverflow, but it really isn't what it used to be, and I really love the small forum format where you don't get power and recognition just for having a high rep count for answering that one question that everyone asks at some point or another.
Running Manjaro Linux 16.08/OpenRC/i3wm on a Dell Precision 5510.

I was formerly part of the MyBB Group. I had resigned because of not having the time to be available consistently. I take on custom plugins occasionally. I haven't really used Python, but it does interest me because I am always looking to increase my web skills. PHP and SQL are my strongest web languages.

Hello, my name is Demosthenes. I love to programming. I run LMDE2 with Python2.7 and Python3. I am a newbie, i start learning Python just one month. My programming experience includes Visual Basic of Microsoft, Visual Studio, C#, C++, Java, MySQL, PHP, and Gambas3. Among all these languages, i prefer most Python. It is easy and rich in libraries. You can do almost anything. I like very much GUI development and PyQt is my favorite.

I am happy chatting with other programmers.
Nice to meet you!

Did you name yourself after the original Demosthenes, or the one from Ender's Game?
