Hi everyone, my name is Alessandro and I am a beginner of the Python programming language. First of all, I'm sorry for my English ... I'm Italian and that already says evrerything! Big Grin

I love Python and I just hope I can gradually improve and learn enough to become a useful resource also for the users of this community, just as you all have been and still are to me. Tongue

Let's read us soon in these pages! Wink

Hello Python Forums,
Im Luke83, a non-coder who spent many years doing mods for OpenXcom, this last few months my Boss has been forcing me to join a team which requires me to pickup some coding skills which is something i have refused to do many, many time before ( mostly because i start learning, get confused and give up)... so to try to get myself interested in the positions I am getting back into Python with the hope of one day knowing enough to create a simple 2d game from my past.

At work I am now playing around with simple SQL commands, VB scripting and expected to pickup PLC programming at some point...

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi since I'm here looking for advice :)

Hi Dylan, I am also new to python and I started a course for beginners. Can I ask which course are you on?

Hello Python Forum, I hope you are all well.
My name is Rob and I am a late to the world of programming. In fact, it’s 40 years since I left school and I’m not even sure we had computers to learn on.
I arrived at Python because I read somewhere it is easy to learn? Truth is, I am finding it quite challenging, especially the maths. I have enrolled on a Python beginners course via Cisco and although I have managed to create a couple of simple programs, I’m getting frustrated with myself because my enthusiasm is working much faster than my brain.
I have an idea of what I want to achieve with Python, I just don’t know whether I should concentrate on the bits I think will help me achieve my goal or if I should try to go much wider? I am not looking for a job, the thing I want to build is initially a personal project but has the potential to become a business. I know I could outsource it but I’d rather build/understand it myself.
I’m sorry if that all sounds a bit cryptic but I think my cry for help is better suited to another thread not the introduction.
Anyway, it’s great to be here. I will read as much as I can and participate where I can.
Regards
Rob

Hi! I'm spaceraiders, from Canada. I've been programming for about 5 years now, mainly in Lua, and Python, but I'm currently learning C as well. I look forward to helping some people out!

Hi, I'm Ryan from San Diego.

If I'm honest, I'm hardly a coder. I played around with some Python in college, mostly running through Zed Shaw's Learn Python the Hard Way book. Since my day job didn't require coding, my coding skills have rusted up a lot.

I'm here to dive back in and pick up some new Python skills. I still think it's the most elegant language I've ever used.
