A class of machine learning programs

There are several machine learning programs that will analyze a large amount of data. and try many models during a run. Each model has its accuracy printed. Then the analyst will get a good idea of what machine learning model to use to get the highest accuracy.

I know these are a certain class of programs I just cannot remember the name.
