SourceTrail errors: troubles in use or from the tool itself?

Hi,

I would like to know if somebody uses SourceTrail for its devs (while it is not supported since 2021)?

I tried to install it from binaries under Windows and Linux (Ubuntu), even using the PythonIndexer; i also complied it as described in the website ...

I always have an error : code -1 or 255 or 13 among others
command "/home/paul18fr/pythonenv --source-file-path=/home/paul18fr/dev/file.py " returned code "13" with message "Permission denied".
(note here i've right access so with permission denied)

For now i cannot say if my issue comes from a bad use of SourceTrail, or from a deeper issue (since it's not supported anymore).

Any hints?

subsidiary question: is there a free alternative to SourceTrail?

Finally after a lot of trials and reading's on internet, I feel that the latest release is non compatible with the current libraries and python environement. A (temporary) workaround might be to create a python3.6 env but with no guaranty it'll work.

It's a pitty, it was a promising tool but Coati comp was too small to support its development; now i'm looking for a similat tool.
