2.7.8 Python installation error

Hi all,
Cannot install Python 2.7.8 for Mac OS
It says "cannot install software because there is no software found"
please help to assist me with this problem

I don't have a Mac, but do you already have a version(s) of Python pre-installed? Try typing python at the prompt in the command terminal.

If you do not have Python installed, how are you trying to install it, did you follow the installation instructions for Mac users on Python's download site?

Mac should come with Python 2.7 out of the Box.

The latest version of Mac OS X, High Sierra, comes with Python 2.7 out of the box.

You should be using Python 3.
