For me it's messy with some kind of structure.
I have a test folder where i try out a lot of stuff,looking at folder it's 40k files and 12BG large Cry
Bookmarks it's a mess with some kind of folder structure.
I'll do update BitBucket with some random stuff,but not always i bother with that.
Also mixed in are Jupyter Notebooks.
One easy system for all,have ideas but not found it Undecided

i have just wanted to copy the code, too, but looking for how to organize it for easy searching and maintenance.

Did you look at BasKet? I think is written for KDE so it may install some KDE libraries but it's not a big deal

I used Basket Notepads before my current system. Besides being already an old program, I think Basket is nice as long as you manipulate the data by hand. But very soon, especially if you are python addict, you want to automate certain parts of your collection of notes, but Basket was not designed with a convenient API for this. It stores the notes in a directories tree with html leaves. You can write some tools to manipulate these, but this is not as handy as a small database or even a simple dictionary stored on disk.

My advice is to go directly to the small database.

I just use a plain text editor and google drive to sync my notes across PC's. Some notes I do in google docs.

They only thing that annoys me is not being able to do markdown... i wish there was an app like notepad that did markdown while being able to open just as fast.
