Getting a "Cannot be Opened"" error Message

You need a closing parenthesis:
                if (int(score[0]) - int(score[1])) > 0:
also, can't do this:
  try:
      file = open(filename, 'r')
  except:
      print (filename, "Cannot be opened")
  else:
and finally you're indentation seems all messed up

I take the last bit back, you can have an else clause - but it's not being used properly here
