I think there are uses for it, although I don't think it will be used very often. I think it's good for mods/admins to at least read their PMs. I had problems on another board where an admin was the problem. I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable posting to a board all the admins could see. In the end I PMed a super-admin. And really, we have a members section where you can see which admins and mods are active.
