I think I like this, but have never heard about {this kind of} music before

You see there has been an explosion of new genres, cross-overs, styles of music, electronic or otherwise, you can't possible know all.

Then again, there is the "long tail" effect by the internet and stuff, so any odd couple and their mothers can found a band and gain (some) recognition these days.
