one example of why we dont delete content

A lot of times people ask to delete solved threads.

Why? What is going on in these people minds?
If their problem is solved no one else should know about or what?
Every forum is a knowledge database.
Unfortunately some don´t know how to use it (can´t use search function).
And others don´t want future knowledge seekers to participate.
I hate those scumbags imho!
