The simplest way to start a program as user login is to do it as adding at the end of .bashrc which is located in the user home directory, a line

This is a really odd solution, but i guess it would work. Normally i try to keep my startups cleared because i dont want crap to run automatically. NOTE: If you use this method and you have libreoffice closed, every time you open a new terminal, libreoffice starts  and for someone like me thats 100's of times per day.
