Thanks, that looks like a good place to start. It has things I once already knew and more. I'll kick in with questions for which I won't be able to find satisfactory answers myself if that's ok.

This is an elitist organization:
Yea, They require membership, which isn't cheap ($200 per year). there are methods on you tube that explain how to download for free, but I can't vouch for them. There is some open access, see http://ieeeaccess.ieee.org/learn-more-ab...uncements/ I don't know what's available. I need to find alternatives to IEEE.
While I am not very familiar with the subject, I am thinking whether IEEE articles are far too specialized/specific considering our current stage of developing the idea. I guess industrialization phase, or somewhere around that, is when it comes down to such detailed knowledge. And by that time, specialists should be involved anyway. Pardon me if I am wrong, I am not speaking from first hand experiences, so I won't mind getting educated. =)

For C.H.I.P.
Batteries cost more than the chip $14.95 for 2500 mAh at Adafruit Industries Product Id: 328 Looking for tft and some sort of case

"Official" extras are rarely a cost effective option. There must be better alternative ways to get power for your CHIP.
Have you connected CHIP to any kind of display yet and try it out?

Still on the boat from Hong Kong

Oh right, you gave away the pieces you had.
I too have something on boat coming this way https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product...0.0.Zz0cvQ From what I saw, I will have problem finding support, but device itself seems great for the price and it will keep me busy for a while. |
