I've been given a table with Test Data and been asked to create a new test case, then to debug it. (I've never done this before)

I'm not too sure myself. If this project is homework for a school/college assignment, then I've already given you much more than I should have done. If it's not, then you'll need to explain where this has come from. Either way, if you're unsure about how to proceed, it's not going to help you if we simply take a best guess at it and come up short.

Just quoting yourself will not do. Your first post is cryptic enough - "what is wrong with this code?" (i.e. there was nothing wrong with the code - it worked, but was example of newbie code - bad patterns/repetitive code, lack of input validation and error handling, etc.

Now, it's even less clear - "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do in the second part of this problem? I've been given a table with Test Data and been asked to create a new test case, then to debug it."

Without more info regarding this [seemingly homework] assignment nobody will help.
