how to install python on linux

I want to learn python. Can you help me.

there is an option to add python to your path. It shouldn't be an option, but it is.

Follow instructions here, and it will solve your problems.

Which distribution?
You have to install Python only on Arch or Gentoo. All other distributions come with Python pre-installed.
