how often to you get a post error from cloudflare when posting a reply or new thread here? what do you do when that happens?

What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual. Two languages? Bilingual. One language? American.

Never got it that error heard of other gotten it.
So not easy to test as it can be network hickuped,i guess it work if try again.
We route all our network traffic trough Cloudflare for security(eg DDoS protection) and performance.

Cloudflare has some best servers out there,we has DigitalOcean as our main server(which has good and fast servers) .
After we did route all out network traffic trough Cloudflare the speed has been better, they do optimization of site.
We also don't have struggle manually to deal with DDoS attack.

i'm not suggesting to not use them. maybe i want to, too. there might be an issue like it happens when the client is too slow which can happen when TCP is recovering a lost packet. just curious if anyone has investigated this.

i can envision a way to do a DDoS attack on CDN severs if they don't limit certain traffic to a short time frame like that. maybe they understand it, as well.

i just lost a lot of edit post from a cloudflare error. I guess i will have to copy before posting a long post just in case. The forum crashing takes priority.

if you are using Firefox and get that on a post, again, do a right click on the tab and select "reload tab". it will tell you that it needs to resend, which is what you want. so click "Yes". i don't know if this can be done on other browsers, or how. but it works for me, once i discovered it. i did get the error, again, once, when reloading, but a 2nd reload worked.

there was another website it got the error from before i discovered the reload. but i did not lose what i was posting. it has some smarter Javascript code that knows not to initialize the buffers in a go-back-to-form case.

no, we don't want the forum to crash. i might have to turn on some packet tracing on my VPN to see what might be going on. fortunately, i run my own VPN.

21% faster at 1.5 seconds. how many people will notice? how many people will make business decisions based on that? "i will use vendor ABC because their website responds in 1.5 seconds, unlike vendor XYZ which is 1.9 seconds". "speed matters, a fraction of a second matters, better tell our own developers".

Ill have to try this next time. It is super frustrating putting time into a post to lose it.
