My bloody internet cost me $80 per month.
Comcast has a monopoly in our state, so now they can charge in Kb increments if they wish
charging whatever they want, or worse yet, charge by the bit!

I'll buy my own T1!

If I pay $80 per month I will have a 1Gb connection. I am afraid if this will serve as an example to other countries to do the same. Internet was the last free space on Earth. We are slaves

True. You have to do something, people. Something... Easy to say...

I wonder what it will be like when I'm 90.
When I was a kid, we had the first TV in the neighborhood (No color back then).
Neighbors used to come over to watch the Jack Benny show.
No internet, no home computers, we still listened to radio shows and mail was delivered five times a day during the holidays.

Now you can watch it it on your phone.

Next thing ... Phones with wheels, then you need to buy two, one for each foot.

Lobbyist sway the votes here to whoever has more money. Corrupt politicians just vote to who gives them money instead of what the people want.

We need to make a law to remove politicians from congress before they get corrupt. But they are not going to vote themselves out of office. If it was enacted in our constitution to purge all politicians every 4 years or so things might of been different.

Laws are made by people in congress.
It will eventually work out. But it takes time.
Someone will see a McDonald's opportunity and come out with a $10.00 per month internet.

Damn, i pay $65 for 60MB. And that is an upgrade....last year was $50 for 15MB. And there is no other option....that is internet slow and fastest. And they have a monopoly so there really is no alternative for high speed.

mine (on Saturday morning, just tested 2 mins ago)  Download Speed: 86.92 Mbps,  Upload Speed: 11.89 Mbps.
Service is 100 Mbps, but that of course is late on a Wednesday Night, when half the world is sleeping.
